Pros & Cons of the Tower T24001
Below we have captured what buyers actually said. This includes all buyers as we like to keep our reviews balanced. Even though only 4 out of every 100 buyers rated this microwave as a 1 star product, we always like to find out why.
- This is a good basic microwave that gets the job done
- Has a door that you can see through which buyers thought was an essential requirement
- The price is at the lower end of the scale for microwaves
- It is very easy to operate
- Powerful and sturdy
- Push button open door
- Ideal for people who don't want a microwave with all the fancy and complicated programs
- A little too basic for some buyers
- Several buyers said that it was very loud when being used
There are not a lot of bad reviews, and the majority of buyers did state that it was a basic microwave. For many people that is all that they really want. The door is easy to open, the controls are easy to use, and it does have the defrost function (indicated by a snowflake image on the knob)
The majority though thought is did what is is supposed to, looked really well and was at a sensible price for what you were getting.

Like all microwaves, it is important that when you have finished using it, that you wipe down the inside of it with a damp cloth. The interior of this one is white. When cooking is finished there will always be moisture on the top of the inside of the oven.
If left there it will drip on to the bottom. Over time that can cause rust spots. A quick wipe with a cloth makes sure that does not happen.
As you can see from the image above, the controls are manual and basic. The top knob picks out what you want to do such as defrost, reheat and cooking levels. The knob underneath is where you can set the cooking time (up to 30 minutes). Other than those, there is simply a push button that opens the door.
Our Verdict on the Tower T24001
The 4.3 out of 5 star buyer rating is about right for this one. It is a good basic microwave but does not have any advanced type of programs. I believe because of the great looking style, does the basics really well and has a good brand name.
If you can get it closer to the price point of £60, then I think you have a good deal. Personally at the RRP I would not buy this one, but if I could find it cheaper, then yes.
The only thing that puts us off highly recommending a product, is if we find a number of legitimate poor ratings. There were only 4% of these, and that would not put me off.
As a buyer you have to make that decision. Overall this one has an 81% satisfaction rating, which is very good. When you see 4.3 out of 5 stars from buyers, it is a very good sign that the quality is good.
